I can’t stick to an article itinerary to save my life here, but what fun would this place be if it was predictable?

In a nutshell: Given the choice between [KOF XI] and [NGBC]… I’d take the seasick crocodile~! [latter.] Essentially blending the superb SNK fighting games with a Marvel vs. Capcom-style tag system, NGBC surpasses even KOF XI in fun, but the roster leans a bit towards the WTF.

Last Friday was apparently the 300th RK page!

Actually, nobody probably cares, right?

The ’shrinemaiden’ in Panel 6 here is actually Sara’s sister, Sora. Aside from the initial cast (who sort-of grandfathered in) I’ve tried to avoid too many Japanese names in order to make the Western setting work better. Just another thing I failed at, huh? Anyway, such names are all kosher while in Xanang, a nation which is a probably-insulting mash-up of China and Japan.

The next two chapters will be pretty focused on Sara’s motivations for being well, an embezzling bitch. Sora is a money-grubber as well, but does it by holding a lot of odd jobs (Obviously, a priest with a combination axe/wand-thingy probably does some high-contact ‘warding…’) I was kind of worried about rushing things, but given the amount of pages that’ve been them standing around in the cabin of an out of control airship already, my ‘rushed’ pace is starting to feel like a better idea (and really, it does make the archives feel livelier when stuff happens more regularly.)

(God, how I abuse parentheses.)

I should really use some of the MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF SPAM I get on the comments here to cook up Spamusements-style comics…
